Schlumberger Maintenance Engineer in Youngsville, Louisiana

The Maintenance Engineer located in South Louisiana is responsible for the quality improvement of failure investigations within the GeoUnit and/or location. They improve equipment reliability of division assets while reducing COSD for the GeoUnit and/or location. They also improve process efficiency of the division maintenance workflow within the GeoUnit and/or location. Come join one of the world’s most diverse and inclusive groups of industry experts. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop initiatives, and improvement plans in location/GeoUnit to improve asset utilization, reliability, and COSD.

  • Identify, implement, and drive CI efforts that improve asset TAT through reducing asset quantities waiting for maintenance, down for parts/RAN, down for failure, and work-in-process.

  • Identify new opportunities and develop business cases for projects pertaining to rework/reuse of parts, service level kits, and equipment design improvements.

  • Support and participate in failure investigations to identify and eliminate root causes within location and with the reliability team, sustaining and engineering.

  • Implement RCM to improve quality and frequency of maintenance task / service levels.

  • Identify, implement and drive projects to improve COSD within the GeoUnit and/or location.

  • Participate in periodic technical audits and CAT compliance assessments, while following up on maintenance-related, remedial action plan closures.

The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.

  • At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at/near the top of the range. The anticipated annual salary for this position is $70-$90k.

  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

• 5 year’s experience in drilling and measurements

• Strong mechanical and electronic background
