This position requires AHCA Level 2 background clearance and requires travel within home base county but also to our sister counties with your own reliable transportation.

The Outpatient Registered Dietitian I Pool responsibilities include:

• Providing optimal medical nutrition therapy to internal and external customers through comprehensive nutrition assessment and counseling for disease management, treatment and/or prevention.

• Manages appointment schedule and administrative duties, leads one-on-one appointments, group classes and/or in-services for interdisciplinary treatment teams

• Coordinates with other service lines whose customers benefit from nutrition intervention.

• Collaborates with all departments involved in the outpatient appointment process.

• Sends documentation of customer's nutrition care plan to referring provider and documents in the electronic medical record.

• May be called upon to perform the duties of an inpatient Registered Dietitian per the needs of the department; as such, must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform safe and effective inpatient care.

Certifications and Licensures:

• Required Registered Dietitian through CDR

• Required licensure through the State of Florida, or successful completion of national registration and state licensure within 6 months of employment.

Education:

• Required Bachelors of Food and Nutrition or Related Field

• Preferred Masters Food and Nutrition or Related Field

• Effective January 1, 2024, a graduate degree is required for those not initially credentialed by 12/31/23. A graduate degree includes a master's degree, practice doctorate, doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, EdD or, DSc).
