Compensation

Salary Range: Min: $100,700 Mid: Max: $142,929 (Grade C - 710 hay points)

UTLO rate: $135,500

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing safe, efficient and cost-effective facilities management at MTA BUS/NYCT DOB locations. Responsible for overseeing facilities scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations, construction activities performed by in house forces and contractors as well as contract administration. Manages automated Building Monitoring systems, effective execution Computerized Asset Management systems for equipment reliability and work prioritization, ensure compliance with applicable Environmental regulatory requirements and direct emergency response efforts to minimize service disruptions. Responsible for identifying, monitoring and correcting safety conditions and violations. Directly supervises facilities maintenance functions for specialized facilities, i.e. CNG, articulated, hybrid. Administers labor agreement practices, disciplinary matters and employee development. Effectively manages operations and projects within budget as well as ensure proper manpower assignments are established and quality control guidelines are followed. Incumbents will be assigned to multiple locations with MTA BUS/NYCT DOB Facilities.

Education and Experience

Seven (7) years of related experience, at least three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory/managerial capacity.

  • Must have one (1) year of previous experience in the title of Superintendent or an equivalent title: or

  • A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education and experience requirements

    Desired Skills

  • Strong knowledge in planning, organizing and problem solving.

  • Knowledge of all trade specialties.

  • Knowledge of depot operations and rules, regulations and procedures.

  • Knowledge of Construction Management.

  • Must have excellent supervisory skills and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • In depth knowledge of budget, personnel management, contract development and administration.

  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.

    As an employee of NYCT, you may be required to complete an annual financial disclosure statement with the State of New York, if your position earns more than $105,472 (this figure is subject to change) per year or if the position is designated as a policy maker
