We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll/AP Clerk in Sparks, Nevada. This role will involve various payroll functions and administrative duties within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be expected to multitask in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Providing support in payroll functions as part of a team

• Handling Certified Payroll tasks for the company and subcontracts, including uploading and submitting to relevant agencies weekly

• Updating and uploading fringe benefit payments

• Entering new hire data accurately and efficiently

• Providing excellent customer service to employees

• Managing Accounts Payable, which includes invoice processing, credit card reconciliation and input, statement review, and vendor relations

• Troubleshooting issues related to missing invoices and management holds

• Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Certified Payroll, Construction, Vendor Relations, and Data Entry to provide clerical support.

Requirements

• Experience of 1+ years as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of the construction industry

• Ability to maintain and build strong vendor relationships

• Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy

• Demonstrated ability to provide clerical support in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly

• Proficiency in using payroll software and other related financial systems

• Good understanding of labor legislation and payroll taxes

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
