Sodexo is seeking a part-time Dietitian Nutritionist for Highland ARH Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, KY. Highland is a part of the Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) and is ranked as one of the Top 10 Employers in Kentucky by Forbes Magazine, is a not-for-profit health system operating 14 hospitals between Kentucky and West Virginia. At Highlands ARH you will have the opportunity to assess a variety of patients from ICU, Med-Surg, and Behavior Heath patients. Eastern Kentucky provides wide variety of outdoors activity in our area like hiking, biking and kayaking. Come to Prestonsburg and enjoy the view of the Appalachian Mountains.

The successful candidate will:

• provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units;

• perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays;

• precept dietetic interns;

• educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses; and

• assist with Food Service Management as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)(Note:For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice

• Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
