Kelly Services Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Morgantown, Pennsylvania

Position: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Full Time / Direct Hire - $90,000 to $130,000 Annually

Summary: Responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance engineering activities to enhance safety, quality, and productivity in daily plant equipment maintenance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment availability and throughput.

Essential Functions:

  1. Implement electrical safety design modifications and enhancements for equipment and facilities.

  2. Conduct electrical safety investigations and execute corrective actions.

  3. Develop, document, and enhance preventive maintenance programs to boost equipment availability and throughput.

  4. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment failures, minimizing downtime and production loss.

  5. Supervise and schedule daily tasks for plant electronic technicians.

  6. Analyze production delay data to establish or modify preventive maintenance tasks and initiate continuous improvement projects.

  7. Prepare and review equipment failure/root cause analysis reports, evaluating corrective action impacts on preventive maintenance programs.

  8. Develop cost justifications for improvement projects and corrective actions.

  9. Create detailed work orders for improvement projects or corrective actions, ensuring completion.

  10. Coordinate outside contractor activities to minimize cost and production impacts.

  11. Assess critical spare parts and standardize parts.

  12. Develop and implement standard operating procedures, training, and skill development for electricians and electronic technicians.

  13. Establish appropriate performance metrics to drive long-term continuous improvement aligned with departmental objectives.

  14. Provide support for problem resolution to expedite improvements and enhance working relationships.

  15. Perform Project Engineering duties as required.

  16. Fill in for Supervisors or Department Managers as needed.

  17. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Ability to provide effective leadership.

  • Expertise, knowledge, and training in engineering and maintenance.

  • Extensive understanding of product manufacturing.

  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes for forged or flat rolled metal products.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and general traits such as being action-oriented, conflict manager, decision maker, comprehensive listener, time manager, and maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Proficiency in fulfilling roles of facilitator, coach, mentor, counselor, and communicator.

  • Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Formal training or experience with Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in Maintenance Engineering or Maintenance Supervisor roles.
