The pay range is $125,600.00 - $226,100.00

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. Director Social Strategy & Operations

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

As a Director, Social Strategy & Operations, you will:

  • Lead the social operations, analytics, PM teams and how we connect to broader marketing

  • Nurture relationships and draw connections across key cross-functional stakeholders in service of strategy acceleration.

  • Drive for simplicity and clarity, fostering alignment and translating intent to action for the entire team.

  • Promote a culture of inclusivity and learning, anticipating team and business needs.

Drive team towards continuous improvement through operations, tools and technology

  • Own social tool stack, social marketing automation, end-to-end workflow and associated agency relationships

  • Manage the social media operations team to streamline workflow, centralize communication, provide workload visibility across teams

  • Act as team lead for all social reporting, operations, tool suite to create a modern, shareable and user-friendly process.

  • Lead development of social listening tools to leverage large sets of social data to analyze guest conversation themes and form guest engagement strategies

  • Oversee social forecasting process to ensure consistency and value

  • Ability to guide technology product teams to advance the work and agenda of the organization

  • Build and lead global social operations team

  • Spearhead experimental efforts in social commerce and shoppable content, Metaverse and other emerging platforms/tools

Translate Strategy to Action and Building Effective Routines

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and lead complex cross-functional initiatives - leading (v. just influencing) without authority at all levels and representing Social in a clear compelling way.

  • Identify, own and establishing reliable operating norms and routines within Social that align to Enterprise.

  • Exceptional communication skills - active listening, written and verbal. An ability to listen for and filter robust inputs to make quick connections and communicate the most critical points in a clear, simple and actionable way.

  • Trusted partner, ability to take in a lot of information, work in confidence and remain objective in decision making to advance the organization and work

  • Strategic thinking with an ability to develop and translate strategy to action and adjust strategy based on capabilities. Includes, ability to ruthlessly prioritize effort v. impact.

  • Active roundtable operational leader who leads with a guest mindset and with a keen understanding of and ability to apply an operational lens.

About Me:

Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, highly interactive environment interfacing amongst senior most executives and throughout the organization to accelerate work that matters most.

  • Four-year degree

  • Experience of 10 plus years of work experience in marketing, social, digital and media fields with major/admired brands.

  • Demonstrated fluency in digital & social marketing, program management, operations, product and technology.

  • A deep understanding of the digital and social landscape and its potential for compelling brand narratives and performance campaigns, combined with a deep understanding of the marketing technology stack.

  • Deep knowledge of consumer trends and the evolving media and digital marketing landscape; including social media and social commerce and how it is transforming marketing and overall retail.

  • Established track record of building an engaged team by skillfully assessing, staffing, developing, and retaining talent in addition to driving positive team culture.

  • Ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams while also elevating key headlines and discussions to Sr leadership teams

  • High personal accountability and comfort with ambiguity.
