Staff Designer Job Locations US-WA-Kennewick | US-GA-Kennesaw ID 2024-2630 Category Drafting/Design Position Type Full-Time Overview ENERCON serves several markets throughout the energy sector, including data centers, mission critical facilities, the federal government, industrial, nuclear power, power delivery, grid infrastructure, power generation, and renewable energy. Our Enercon Federal Services team is seeking a 3D Staff Designer to join the Team based in our Kennewick, WA or Kennesaw office locations. Responsibilities Prepare accurate layout and detail drawings of parts, assemblies, and related items on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity Support engineers with any changes to drawings Perform piping and support design for installation in nuclear power plants Prepare design drawings, including piping isometrics, single line drawings, P&ID's and pipe support drawings Perform walkdowns at Nuclear Power Plants and generate walkdown reports Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives Conduct self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product May review the work of other designers/drafters and provide mentoring and leadership Meet applied time goals set for position/discipline Work independently of engineers but confer with engineers and other designers for design concept interpretation Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related field with minimum 2 years of design experience or Associate's Degree with minimum 6 years of experience HS 10+. Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings Advanced knowledge in the practices of an engineering discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of design Ability to travel for short trips to get badged (1 to 2 days per year. Advanced knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD and MicroStation 3D experience is preferred in one or more of the following software: Plant3D, SmartPlant, Solidworks, Inventor, and/or Revit. Must be a US Citizen Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings; ENERCON and client specific background checks; and an annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies. Salary: The salary range for this full-time position is $68,000-96,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
