The Boeing Company is seeking a Product Security (Cyber) Test Operations Engineer to support the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) cyber test capability. The selected applicant will join a highly technical Product Security team located in Huntsville, AL and will support building BT&E’s offensive cyber test capability.
Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Product Security Capability is a growing multi-disciplinary cybersecurity engineering organization that is responsible for the security and resiliency of our products, platforms, and services. This position will provide Test Operations support to the various phases of the Product Test Lifecyle by supporting test proposals, developing test plans and schedules, coordinating test execution logistics, and supporting post-test activities. The position will also support Long Range Business Planning.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Provide advocacy for the integration of cyber test events throughout the gated process
Develop and mature Product Security T&E processes, best practices, and solutions
Represent Product Security T&E in engagements with Boeing, suppliers and customer leadership
Provide team leadership, direction, and coordination to include planning and scheduling events, and allocating resources
Defining initial cyber test plans from multiple input sources and translating them into actionable tasks including designing and coordinating cyber tests
Collaborating with cybersecurity test teams to execute test activities effectively
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
10+ years of experience building workflows, resource management plans, program schedules and other program integration activities, security process development, product life cycle process development
10+ years of experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) organizations, projects and/or programs
10+ years of experience directing and executing projects in accordance with stakeholder objectives and schedules
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working with stakeholders to integrate, plan and execute test events.
Experience coordinating and presenting technical content to a diverse audience.
Experience translating user requirements into actionable engineering tasks.
Experience coordinating and planning with a technical test team.
Demonstrated experience in technical writing and oral communication for soliciting goals and requirements, communicating design decisions, and informing senior leadership.
History of supporting integration of test activities into a program lifecycle.
Experience hosting events similar to Cyber Table Tops and Mission-Based Cyber Risk Assessments.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This position is for 1st shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $164,050 – $221,950
