ACS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Manager to join a dynamic team experiencing strong growth in expanding registered apprenticeship programs and assisting with prevailing wage compliance for construction and energy companies. The Contract Manager will play a critical role in processing contracts, agreements, and creating purchase orders with both new and current customers. In addition, the Contract Manager will support contract requirements for several grants and contracts with government agencies. Collaborating closely with sales teams, executive leadership, finance, and various departments, the Contract Manager will ensure the smooth transition of agreements from signing to the initiation of projects. This role requires a proactive approach to contract management, project management, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to gain a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape affecting clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute contracts, agreements, and purchase orders with new and existing clients.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and clients regarding contractual matters, ensuring timely review and approval/reconciliation of variations or change orders.

  • Work with the finance team to set up payment schedules and ensure the financial aspects of contracts are managed effectively.

  • Collect basic information necessary for the setup of projects, liaising with relevant departments to gather and verify details.

  • Provide internal notice to proceed with documents to ensure the effective and coordinated handoff of new projects and the implementation of any change orders in existing projects.

  • Requested and distributed certificates of insurance to clients, ensuring compliance and proper risk management.

  • Collaborate with sales teams and executive leadership to ensure contracts are aligned with company goals and strategies.

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry-specific regulations, compliance standards, and government requirements related to apprenticeships and prevailing wage.

  • Implement and coordinate contract management tools, templates, and processes to improve efficiency and reduce risks.

  • In partnership with the COO, perform risk management for contracts, identifying potential issues and developing solutions to mitigate risks.

  • Manage contract compliance with government grant and program requirements, ensuring all projects adhere to 2 CFR 200 and other stipulated guidelines and regulations.

  • Track reporting process for government contracts and grants, work with Finance team and program managers in preparing and submitting required documents in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in contract management or a legal field, with specific experience within professional services related to the construction or energy sector, is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of contracts, negotiation, and legal terms.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with contract management software.
