POSITION OVERVIEW:

Join our dynamic team as an Inventory and Quality Control Technician! This hourly warehouse role in our Supply Chain Distribution Center involves a variety of tasks related to inventory and maintaining the quality of goods. Collaborate closely with the Inventory and Quality Control Supervisor and DC Operations Supervisors. This role includes ensuring compliance with quality and inventory standards, actively participating in process improvement, and being a subject-matter expert on warehouse flow and processes.   • Will start on a Monday- Friday Day shift schedule and eventually transition to a continuous operation schedule.

  • Work schedule M-F 8 hours 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Adhere to company standard operating procedures in Safety, Quality, Operations, and People.

  • Execute inventory control activities, such as cycle counts and physical verification of inventory status.

  • Resolve sync report issues, handle inventory adjustments, and reconcile CHEP/heat-treated pallet inventory.

  • Monitor open transactions for Order closure.

  • Assist facility management with capacity, inventory, and product flow management.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Identify and create temporary storage locations.

  • Execute Pick-line strategies as needed.

  • Oversee Quality compliance and address inquiries on SOP's, Seal Breeches, Trailer Inspections, and Housekeeping.

  • Perform Daily/Weekly/Monthly QMS tasks and audits.

  • Process Non-Conformances, block & unblock quality, and salvage holds per QA-issued Change of Status and aged stock reports.

  • Follow up on outstanding quality holds to expedite corrective action and final disposition.

  • Create destruction and disposal orders.

  • Process OS&D claims and investigations, communicating with Customer Service as needed.

  • Provide training and support for team members, new hires, and contractors.

  • Run daily reports to identify product aging and critical issues.

  • Perform and/or oversee various QA Projects as required, such as re-inspection, sampling, or sorting.

  • Operate computers, tablets, and scanners to assist with job duties.

  • Utilize company documents and forms for conducting business as needed.

  • Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required.

  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and other PC applications.

  • Certification to operate Powered Industrial Trucks, including stand-up, sit-down, aerial lift, and pallet jack, preferred (Will train).

  • Ability to lift, stack, and carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds independently.

SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with company standard operating procedures in Safety, Quality, Operations, and People.

  • Proficiency in inventory control activities, including cycle counts and physical verification of inventory status.

  • Strong problem-solving skills in resolving inventory-related issues.

  • Knowledge of capacity, inventory, and product flow management.

  • Understanding of Quality compliance, SOP's, Seal Breeches, Trailer Inspections, and Housekeeping.

  • Ability to perform Daily/Weekly/Monthly QMS tasks and audits.

  • Skill in processing Non-Conformances, quality and salvage holds, and aged stock reports.

  • Experience with creating destruction and disposal orders.

  • Capability to process OS&D claims and investigations.

  • Training and support provision for team members, new hires, and contractors.

  • Proficiency in running daily reports to identify product aging and critical issues.

  • Capability to perform various QA Projects as required.

  • Competency in operating computers, tablets, and scanners.

  • Effective use of company documents and forms for conducting business.

  • Commitment to regular and punctual attendance with the ability to work overtime as required.
