Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team located in Fairfield, New Jersey. The role involves managing payments, controlling expenses, and reconciling invoices. This position is within the Healthcare industry and offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in account reconciliation and invoice processing.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the process of receiving, verifying, and reconciling invoices to control expenses

• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries

• Identify and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices

• Maintain timely and updated accounts to ensure payments are up to date

• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues

• Maintain vendor files and provide supporting documentation for audits

• Preserve accurate historical records while maintaining the confidentiality of organizational information

• Assist with the processing of expense reports and analyze chargeback items, including travel and other miscellaneous expenses

• Review postings from various modules, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and expense management to ensure accuracy

• Assist with any other AP related filings and special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role such as Accounts Payable Clerk or related financial position.

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

• Demonstrated ability to manage Check Runs.

• Experience in Coding Invoices.

• Strong Data Entry skills.

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
