The Role: The Northwest Earth and Space Sciences Pathways (NESSP), a NASA-funded K-12 education initiative, seeks a dedicated individual to support its mission of enhancing STEM exposure, competence, and ambition among underserved and underrepresented students and educators. The NESSP Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in advancing NESSP's objectives by spearheading the development and execution of an annual NGSS-aligned courses and professional development workshops inspired by NASA missions and science. The role requires oversight and the coordination of other NESSP partners and staff working on the effort, and managing undergraduate hourly employees engaged in national program development. The Position Title will also collaborate closely with NESSP personnel and partners to devise assessment strategies, contribute to the formulation of agendas for annual partner meetings, and furnish regular updates on project status to leadership. The person in this role should be comfortable working independently and have a background in STEM education coupled with strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on STEM education accessibility and effectiveness, particularly within underserved and underrepresented communities.
