GSK is seeking a motivated and energetic Clinical Comparators and Collaborations Strategy Manager in the Clinical Supply Chain (CSC) organization. With the current and evolving portfolio, the supply of commercial marketed products (Comparators) and clinical products to/from Pharma and Biotech partners (Collaborations) is pivotal to supporting the progression of GSK's pipeline, supplying medicine to patients in GSK and partner clinical trials.  In this position you will support the Head of Comparators and Collaborations and have oversight of the Comparators and Collaborations strategy and execution within the team. You will also lead a functional area of the Comparators and Collaborations Team for the support of the portfolio, coordination of external partner supply and/or evaluation of products to aid project teams and Business Development activities.

In this role you will Comparators and Collaborations Strategy: Support and implement strategic direction set by Head of Comparators and Collaborations and the Comparators and Collaborations Leadership Team. Innovate and improve operational performance of the team / Clinical Supply Chain to enable acceleration of clinical supplies and support the R&D strategy. Comparators: Lead cross-functional matrix team to enable selection of optimum sourcing channel, identify potential risks and mitigation plans. Facilitate governance processes to finalise commercial product supply strategy. Lead oversight of Comparator costings for Business Development evaluations and partner with relevant Clinical Supply Chain / Clinical / Business Development stakeholders to investigate and deliver output. Collaborations: Coordinate and lead the Clinical Supply Chain response for GSK Collaborations and/or Alliances and have oversight of the Collaborations activities in the Comparators and Collaborations Team. Interface with Business Development to develop and evaluate the Clinical Supply Chain response for the Clinical Trial Supply Agreements, partnering with project teams to ensure delivery for clinical trials. Risk management: Performance manage ongoing Clinical Trial Supply for Comparators and Collaborations and act as a leading point of contact for escalation and resolution of supply chain issues. Stakeholder Management: Partner and influence CMC, project teams and senior stakeholders to ensure timely and coherent understanding and agreement of all relevant information (e.g. lead times, shelf life, costs, issues). Represent Comparators / Collaboration team, CSC and CMC at internal project and governance meetings. External relationship building: Extensive network development and maintenance with external partners and suppliers. Leadership and coordination of required meetings with Collaboration partners, wholesalers and internal stakeholders. Training and Education: Develop and mentor less experienced members of staff. May manage a line team.

Why you? Qualifications & Skills: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: BSc or equivalent in scientific discipline (Chemistry, formulation science, pharmacy) or APICS certification: CPIM (Certification in Production and In entory Management). Extensive experience in pharmaceutical industry (pharma, vaccines or consumer healthcare). Demonstrate strong project and performance management. A demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and communicate across a range of business levels. A demonstrated ability to work cross-culturally and globally. Be responsive and agile to changing business priorities. Strong knowledge of Supply Chain activities in a pharmaceutical or vaccine background. Strong understanding of CMC medicine development and all phases of clinical trials. Strong delivery in strategic implementation. Experience in supplier relationship management, building a collaborative, performance focused relationship with third party providers.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: An open and curious mindset and the ability to provide supportive, open, and inclusive leadership to develop and inspire our great team. Credible at the project team and department Leadership Team level. Experience reviewing or editing legally binding agreement with third parties (for example supply, quality, technical etc.) Experience in change management and/or, implementing new systems. Matrix or line leadership experience.
