Indium Corporation Production Planner in Clinton, New York

JOB SUMMARY: The Production Planner is responsible for analyzing, interpreting and converting customer order information into manufacturing production work orders (cross referencing). The Production Planner will plan, review, and report to supervision, customer order input rates, order error rates, departmental/site delivery performance, departmental product workload volumes as scheduled, and complete planning actions related to increases/decreases in stocking levels in component and finished goods inventories. The Production Planner also assists departmental supervision in communicating with sales and within manufacturing all order rescheduling, to include materials expediting through purchasing as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

• Analyze and interpret customer order documentation to create manufacturing work orders (cross–referencing) for production product builds

• Exercise effective organizational and work management skills to provide feedback to sales and manufacturing supervision, to include error reports, projected workload volumes, and product and production component inventories

• Provide departmental reporting input to departmental supervision to confirm product lead-time scheduling information to sales

• Access, navigate, research and enter data using various systems and software, including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and the enterprise resource planning system

• Research, suggest, document, suggest production scheduling and inventory changes to supervision based upon departmental production capacities and supplies availability

• Plan/adjust/monitor/report required production inventories, and create and expedite purchase orders as required in coordination with departmental supervision necessary to optimize customer order completion

• Accurately perform mathematical calculations using basic math functions, unit of measure conversions, and product related formulas as required

• Ensure work is accurate and well-documented according to all quality management system standards

• Collaborate with various Indium Corporation departments, including sales, engineering and quality to provide/obtain information and/or evaluation

• Attend training as needed or assigned

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate’s degree in a technical required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.

• 2 years of experience in a diverse process manufacturing environment

• APICS Planning certification preferred

• 2 years of experience in product configuration, and manufacturing process familiarity

• Proficient at intermediate math applications

• PC proficient, intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

• Highly analytical and detail-oriented

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

WAGE DISCLOSURE:

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.

$17.50 per hour - $28.50 per hour

($36,500 - $59,000 annually)
