As part of the Corporate Compensation team, the Compensation Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring that our organization's compensation packages are competitive, fair, and aligned with business objectives. You will analyze market data, evaluate internal equity, and provide insights to support informed decision-making regarding employee compensation. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis : Conduct comprehensive research on compensation trends and benchmarks in relevant industries and geographic areas. Utilize market data to evaluate the competitiveness of our compensation packages. Responsible for managing data and data submissions for compensation surveys.

  • Compensation Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of compensation programs, including base pay structures, variable pay plans, and incentive programs. Collaborate with HR and leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals and budgetary constraints. Support Year-End Compensation Planning.

  • Data Analysis : Analyze internal and external data to identify trends, benchmarks, and best practices. Present findings and insights to stakeholders.

  • Compliance: Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations governing compensation practices. Ensure compliance with laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Equal Pay Act.

  • Compensation Support: Provide guidance and support to HR Business Partners and managers regarding compensation-related inquiries, issues, and decisions. Educate employees on compensation policies and practices.

  • Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline compensation processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve overall efficiency. Implement best practices to optimize the compensation function.

  • Job Evaluation: Prepare materials to evaluate the complexity, scope, and impact of various roles within the organization to establish appropriate job classifications and salary ranges.

The base salary range for this position is $54,000 - $70,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in compensation analysis or a related role.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data analysis.

  • Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and compensation software is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
