Delta Technologies Truck Driver in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Delta Technologies is an industry leading tooling company who is searching for a 2nd Shift Truck Driver. Our customers are automotive manufacturers and suppliers in one of the fastest growing automotive regions. The Truck Driver assists in warehouse functions required to ensure accurate inventories, receipts, and shipments to internal and external customers.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Operate hi-lo upon successful completion of training course and written test.
  • Accurately operate shipping and receiving equipment including bar code equipment and UPS machine.
  • Assemble warehouse racking as needed.
  • Load trucks with finished goods for customers, verifying shipper with product loaded.
  • Unload, receive in and put away in proper location purchased material after quantity verification and inspection.
  • Keep warehouse organized and clean.
  • Responsible for seeing that stock is rotated (FIFO - First In First Out).
  • Assist in cycle counting and auditing inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Stage and label correctly all outbound product.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures, etc.).
  • Comply with all internal and OSHA requires safety procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.

Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to read a limited  number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
