Job Summary

Provide exceptional or great customer experience performing a variety of administrative tasks; including but not limited to answering phones, addressing student concerns, providing guidance and assistance on a wide range of issues including but not limited to Financial Aid, Admissions, Registration, Student Accounts and Registrar.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and provide great service with great attention to detail.

  • Utilize resources and adhere to department/university policies and procedures when performing job duties.

  • Provide accurate, clear, and concise information to students, parents and campus partners consistently.

  • Multitask simultaneously while speaking to callers/students.

  • Perform work in ways that contribute to the university’s successful achievement of enrollment goals.

  • Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma with two (2) years of call center, telephone representative, or the equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of call center, telephone representative, or equivalent experience

  • Two (2) years of general office, administrative experience, or customer service.

  • Higher education experience.

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and English).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to solve problems with critical thinking.

  • Must be able talk and type simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Basic knowledge of various MS Office software products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Experience/knowledge working with an integrated student information system such as PeopleSoft.

  • Ability to use various office equipment, contact center software, softphone, headset, copier, and laser/fax/copier.

  • Ability to handle various customer service issues.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concise on the telephone.

  • Ability to understand and follow instruction and training.
